Ahluwalia Contracts, engaged in construction business, witnessed a surge in share price on Thursday after it has secured new orders aggregating to Rs 1.78 billion for construction of housing project including finishing and electrical works. New aggregating order in first half of the financial years 2014-15 are Rs 7.93 billion.
Shares of the company are trading at Rs 159.10, up Rs 9, or 6% at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Thursday at 9:55 a.m.
The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs 159.95 and low of Rs 155.35. The total volume of shares traded at the BSE is 8,216.
