Tourism New Zealand recently co-hosted a corporate evening in New Delhi along with Cox and Kings to highlight New Zealand as a preferred incentive destination for Indian corporate travellers. The evening was attended by close to 30 corporate end users of Cox and Kings including Shalimar Paints, Birla Sun Life Insurance Company, Microsoft, Panasonic India, Hewitt Associates (India), JK Lakshmi Cement and Honda Cars India. A sequel to the corporate evening hosted in Bangalore earlier in June this year, the Delhi event also saw commendable interest and participation from the C-Suite.
The session was initiated by Sushila Shinde, GM National Sales Coordinator for MICE OBT who introduced Ajay Seth, VP MICE OBT & Trade Fairs. Further to a brief presentation on Cox & Kings, Ajay Seth shared his experience of incentive travel to New Zealand and why it is an upcoming destination for Indian corporates.
The session was followed by a presentation by Neha Bhola, Country Manager-India, Tourism New Zealand on New Zealand's offerings for the MICE segment and the top 10 things that Incentive travel groups can experience in New Zealand. She spoke about New Zealand earning a proud reputation as an exceptional host destination for business events and delivering quality incentive experiences for Indian corporates. She also shared details about the Two Countries One visa being issued during the Cricket World Cup 2015.
New Zealand is an ideal destination for corporate travel owing to its outstanding hotels and convention centres equipped with highly-skilled hospitality professionals. Various regions of New Zealand provide opportunities to corporates to bond beyond the boardroom with a range of tourism experiences such as adventure activities or more sedate and sightseeing activities.
Shares of the company gained Rs 8.7, or 2.86%, to trade at Rs 312.80. The total volume of shares traded was 134,005 at the BSE (1.07 p.m., Tuesday).
