10-year G-sec yield falls 2 bps to 8.73%

Indian government bond yields fell on Wednesday. The 10-year 7.16% G-sec 2023 decreased 2 basis points to trade at 8.73% as compared to 8.75% on last trading day. Also, the 7.28% G sec 2019 declined 1 basis point to trade at 8.54% as compared to 8.55% on last trading day.

Today, call money weighted average rate (WAR) rose 7 basis points to 8.05% compared with 7.98% on last trading day. As at 11.56 am, call rate was 8.05% after touching high of 8.10% and low of 8%. It opened at 8.10%. Turnover of the call market stood at Rs 127.24 billion compared with Rs 136.73 billion on previous day.
