Dollar-rupee futures strengthened on Wednesday against US dollar. USDINR October contract went up 3 paise or 0.05 percent at 62.14 as against previous close of 62.11. The most active October contract witnessed a high of 62.2775 and a low of 62.06 after opening at 62.20.
A total of 0.3 million contracts were traded till 10:11 pm. Turnover for October contract was at Rs18.28 billion. Meanwhile, open interest was at 1.14 million.
Indian rupee has weakened on Wednesday against US dollar. Indian currency fell 6 paise or 0.10 percent against dollar to trade at 61.81. Rupee has witnessed a high of 61.77 and a low of 61.95. Its 52-week range was 58.34-63.91.
