Indian ADRs higher on Tuesday. Wipro climbed the most with a gain of 1.42% followed by Tata Motors (0.41%), Dr Reddy's Laboratories (0.19%) and ICICI Bank (0.12%). On the other hand, MTNL dropped the most with fall of 0.39% followed by HDFC Bank (0.36%) and Infosys Technologies (0.05%).
Indian markets settled slightly higher on Tuesday. The RBI in its fourth bi-monthly monetary policy review has decided to keep repo and reverse repo rate at 8% and 7% respectively. At the close, the benchmark 30-share index, BSE Sensex gained 33.40 points or 0.13% at 26,630.51 with 12 components registering rise. While the broad based NSE Nifty closed flat with a gain of 5.90 points or 0.07%, at 7,964.80 with 23 components posting rise.
