Sun Pharmaceutical Industries, an international, integrated, speciality pharmaceutical company, witnessed a sharp rise in share prices on Friday after Credit Suisse report said that a team of US FDA inspectors have submitted Form 483 on a Gujarat unit of Sun Pharmaceutical. The team has recently conducted a surprise audit at the Halol unit.

Submission of Form 483 means the FDA team found certain procedural issues with respect to the plant's running and seeks corrective action but may not imply an immediate import ban.

Shares of the company are trading at Rs 818.50, up Rs 44.7, or 5.78% at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Friday at 11:19 a.m.

The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs 821.70 and low of Rs 748.15. The total volume of shares traded at the BSE is 461,601.
