Tata Global Beverages, leading manufacturer and distributor of tea,  today announced appointment of John Jacob, vice president - group finance, as the chief financial officer (CFO) of the company. He is appointed in place of K Venkataramanan, the current CFO of the company.

The change will be effective from Oct. 25, 2014. K Venkataramanan will be moving over to another role in the company's subsidiary, Tata Coffee as executive director-finance.

Shares of the company declined Rs 0.5, or 0.3%, to trade at Rs 163.95. The total volume of shares traded was 194,053 at the BSE (10.54 a.m., Wednesday).
