Hindustan Construction Company (HCC), one of the India's leading infrastructure companies, said that it is in discussions with the Piramal Group, along with several others, for the sale of three road projects in West Bengal as part of the group's de-leveraging exercise.
''The company has signed non-binding agreements with Piramal for two of the three road projects, which include Baharampore-Farakka Highway project and Farakka-Raiganj Highways. Both deals are subject to the outcome of the due-diligence process,'' the company said.
Shares of the company declined Rs 1.25, or 3.4%, to trade at Rs 35.55. The total volume of shares traded was 591,629 at the BSE (10.40 a.m., Wednesday).
