JSW Energy said that Barmer Lignite Mining Company (BLMCL), a joint venture between Raj West Power (RWPL), a wholly owned subsidiary of the company and Rajasthan State Mines and Minerals (RSMML), has received environmental clearance from ministry of environment, forests & climate change (MoEFCC) to increase the mining capacity of its Kapurdi Lignite Mines from 3.75 MTPA to 7 MTPA for 4 years.

Recently, JSW Energy clarified on report published by newspaper titled, 'Jindal's JSW Energy eyes JP Group's power projects in MP' saying," JSW Energy continues to evaluate various opportunities as part a of its growth strategy. However, we are not in any conclusive discussions for any particular project. Whenever any proposal attains finality, the company will comply with the provisions of the listing agreement and make requisite disclosures accordingly."

Shares of the company declined Rs 2.7, or 3.51%, to settle at Rs 74.15. The total volume of shares traded was 268,539 at the BSE (Tuesday).
