Indian rupee has depreciated on Tuesday against US dollar. Indian currency fell 7 paise or 0.12 percent against dollar to trade at 60.89. Rupee has witnessed a high of 60.87 and a low of 60.94. Its 52-week range was 58.34-63.91.
The Dollar index, a measure of the value of the US dollar relative to a basket of foreign currencies, fell 0.09 percent to trade at 84.67.
''USDINR is likely to trade on the positive note on the back of strengthening US economy and hint of earlier than expected interest rate hike by the Fed. The dollar index, a basket of six leading currencies traded against the dollar, wobbled around unchanged. It was last up 0.01 percent after briefly touching a high last seen during July 2010,'' said Sushil Finance.
