10-year G-sec yield rise marginally to 8.7%

Indian government bond yields rose marginally on Tuesday. The 10-year 7.16% G-sec 2023 increased 1 basis point to trade at 8.7% as compared to 8.69% on last trading day. Also, the 7.28% G sec 2019 gained marginally 1 basis point to trade at 8.5% as compared to 8.49% on last trading day.

While, call money weighted average rate (WAR) rose 32 basis points to 8.09% compared with 7.77% on last trading day. As at 10.04 am, call rate was 8.05% after touching high of 8.10% and low of 7.90%. It opened at 8.10%. Turnover of the call market stood at Rs 53.25 billion compared with Rs 144.93 billion on previous day.
