Bharti Infratel plunges on reports KKR may exit

Bharti Infratel, a telcom tower company, witnessed a sharp fall in share prices on Monday after the US private equity fund Kohlberg Kravis Roberts and Co (KKR) is looking for stake sale. As per media reports, KKR is set to launch a share sale that could raise about USD 230 million as it plan to exit Bharti Infratel six years after investing. Shares of the company are trading at Rs 294.60, down Rs 15.15, or 4.89% at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Monday at 3:19 p.m. The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs 311.50 and low of Rs 291.00. The total volume of shares traded at the BSE is 314,694.
