Indian rupee has appreciated on Friday against US dollar. Indian currency went up 2 paise or 0.03 percent against dollar to settle at 60.83. Rupee has witnessed a high of 60.74 and a low of 60.90. Its 52-week range was 58.34-63.91.
The Dollar index, a measure of the value of the US dollar relative to a basket of foreign currencies, rose 0.36 percent to settle at 84.62.
Indian markets settled the volatile session flat on Friday. At the close, the 30-share benchmark index, BSE Sensex ended flat with a decline of 21.79 points or 0.08% at 27,090.42. The broad based NSE Nifty closed flat with a gain of 6.70 points or 0.08%, at 8,121.45.
