Indian, Chinese firms sign MoUs for contracts worth USD 3.43 bn

Indian and Chinese companies signed memorandum of understandings (MoUs) for 24 contracts worth USD 3.43 billion in a range of sectors such as aircraft leasing and financing, telecom, chemicals, wind power components, cotton yarn and fabric, synthetic fibre and seafood.

The MoUs were signed at the conclusion of the India-China Business Meeting organized by FICCI on the sidelines of the meetings between the visiting Chinese President, Xi Jinping and Prime Minister Narendra Modi and amongst officials from the two countries.

Ren Feng, (First Secretary, Department of Foreign Trade, Ministry of Commerce, Peoples Republic of China), Dr A. Didar Singh (Secretary General, FICCI), Wang Hejun (Economic & Commercial Counselor, Embassy of China) and Sanjeet Singh (Director, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India) were present at the MoU signing ceremony.
