Thomas Cook (India) gained on Thursday after the company's subsidiary IKYA Group signed definitive agreement to acquire Brainhunter (Zylog Systems), subjects to statutory and regulatory approvals. The company head quartered in Toronto (Canada), is a leading IT and Engineering professional firms, employing about 700 professionals and with revenues of about USD 80 million.
The acquisition will help IKYA position itself as a global IT staffing and technology solution group, with a strong Footprint in the North America. The combination of these two companies will create an IT staffing entity with a global presence across North America, Middle East & South America employing 11,000 IT professionals.
Shares of the company gained Rs 3.65, or 2.51%, to trade at Rs 149.30. The total volume of shares traded was 65,209 at the BSE (1.06 p.m., Thursday).
The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs 151.75 and low of Rs 145.10. The total volume of shares traded at the BSE is 65,209.
