Nashik based company Cupid, announced that it has received additional orders worth Rs 24 million from the UN Population fund UNFPA Copenhagen, Denmark. This order is for to supply male condoms to countries in Europe, Central Asia and Africa by March 2015.
The company expects the trend in increased revenue (order) to continue in the FY 2014/15 said Om Garg, chairman and managing director of the company.
The company reported a profit of Rs 19.92 million compared with a loss of Rs 11.07 million in the same quarter previous year. Net sales for the quarter jumped 47.31% to Rs 83.79 million, compared with Rs 57 million for the prior year period.
Shares of the company declined Rs 0.71, or 2.52%, to trade at Rs 27.50. The total volume of shares traded was 71,022 at the BSE (1.33 p.m., Wednesday).
