Dollar-rupee futures depreciated on Wednesday against US dollar. USDINR September contract went down 10 paise or 0.16% at 61.14 as against previous close of 61.24.

Sushil Finance expects USDINR to trade positive on the back of strengthening US economy and hint of earlier than expected interest rate hike by the Fed.

Meanwhile, ICICIdirect expects the US dollar to garner buying support on declines against the rupee. ''Utilize declines in the USD/INR September contract to buy. Buy USD/INR September futures in the range of 60.95-60.05 with target 61.23-61.40.''

''SPOT USDINR prices are expected to have support at 60.90 and buying can be seen there. Prices on higher side can test 61.10. Prices should not fall below 60.80 to maintain positive outlook for the day,'' said Emkay Global Financial Services.

''We expect the rupee to trade on a neutral to positive note against the dollar taking cues from weaker than expected economic data from US and positive global markets. However, weakness in the domestic markets may cap sharp gains in the rupee,'' opined Swastika Investmart.
