AXIS Bank, a private sector bank in India, said that the bank has allotted 3,11,241 equity shares of value Rs 2 a share. These shares are pursuant to exercise of options under its ESOP Scheme on Tuesday.

The paid up share capital of the Bank will accordingly increase from Rs 471,74,58,634 (235,87,29,317 equity shares of Rs 2 each) to Rs 471,80,81,116 (235,90,40,558 equity shares of Rs 2 each).

Axis Bank and Indian Highways Management Company (IHMCL), a NHAI promoted company has signed an agreement on Monday for provision of Central Clearing House (CCH) services and sale of FASTag, for Electronic Toll Collection (ETC) at the Toll Plazas on the National Highways.

Shares of the bank declined Rs 12.95, or 3.14%, to settle at Rs 398.85. The total volume of shares traded was 318,104 at the BSE (Tuesday).
