10-year G-sec yield falls 3 bps to 8.74%

Indian government bond yields fell on Tuesday. The 10-year 7.16% G-sec 2023 decreased 3 basis points to settle at 8.74% as compared to 8.77% on last trading day. Also, the 7.28% G sec 2019 declined 2 basis points to settle at 8.54% as compared to 8.56% on last trading day.

While, Indian rupee has appreciated on Tuesday against US dollar ahead of the US Federal Reserve meeting. Indian currency gained 9 paise or 0.15% against dollar to settle at 61.06.

Rupee has witnessed a high of 61.01 and a low of 61.14. Its 52-week range was 58.34-63.91. The Dollar index, a measure of the value of the US dollar relative to a basket of foreign currencies, declined 0.05% to settle at 84.22.
