European stocks may open on a mixed note on Tuesday as investors awaited the outcome of the latest Federal Reserve meeting. Germany's benchmark index DAX futures went down 0.10% to trade at 9,651.5. UK's benchmark index, FTSE 100 futures increased to 0.12% to trade at 6,808.

European stock markets settled lower on Monday. UK's benchmark index FTSE 100 declined 2.75 points or 0.04 percent to close at 6,804.21. Germany's benchmark index DAX gained 8.50 points or 0.09 percent to end at 9,659.63. French benchmark index CAC 40 declined 13.07 points or 0.29 percent to end at 4,428.63.
