Cox & Kings completes sale of its subsidiary camping division

Cox & Kings announced the completion of sale of the camping division of its subsidiary Holidaybreak to Homair Vacances for a total consideration GBP 89.2 million following the approval of the deal from the competition and markets authority.

The camping division provides outdoor family holidays on over 170 third-party owned campsites across 12 European countries.

Cox & Kings acquired the camping division as part of its acquisition of Holidaybreak in 2011. Homair Vacances is a major operator in relation to outdoor holidays in France.

Peter Kerkar, director Cox & Kings said, ''The sale of camping is consistent with our strategy of becoming a Leisure & Education travel group and allows us to focus on these businesses that have a global footprint with market leadership positions.''

Shares of the company gained Rs 2.75, or 0.92%, to trade at Rs 302.80. The total volume of shares traded was 79,693 at the BSE (1.00 p.m., Thursday).
