TVS Motor Company, one of the largest two-wheeler manufacturers in India, has appointed Sudarshan Venu, whole-time director, as joint managing director. His appointment is subject to the approval of the shareholders in the next general meeting in the rank of MD of the company.

The appointment will for the remaining period of his tenure without any change in the terms and conditions of his appointment and remuneration earlier approved by the shareholders of the company and Dr Lakshmi Venu as director.

Shares of the company gained Rs 0.35, or 0.16%, to trade at Rs 224.55. The total volume of shares traded was 402,937 at the BSE (1.52 p.m., Wednesday).
