Karnataka Bank, the private sector lender, has appointed B A Prabhakar, Bangalore, as an additional director under section 161 of the companies act, 2013.

The above appointment has been made at the board meeting held on Sept. 6, 2014.

B A Prabhakar, is a commerce graduate from the University of Mysore and a chartered accountant.

Shares of the bank gained Rs 0.85, or 0.65%, to settle at Rs 131.25. The total volume of shares traded was 205,263 at the BSE (Monday).
