JSW Steel witnessed a rise on Friday after it has reported a growth of 13% in crude steel production to 11.16 lakh tons for August 2014.
Production of rolled products-flat during the month was at 8.80 lakh tons, witnessing a rise of 6.80% over last year period. Production of rolled products-long increased by 53.13% to 1.96 lakhs tons.
Shares of the company are trading at Rs 1,305.90, up Rs 25.9, or 2.02% at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Friday at 2:50 p.m.
The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs 1,320.90 and low of Rs 1,281.65. The total volume of shares traded at the BSE is 74,881.
