Indian equities continues to trade firm in noon trade on Wednesday on the back of Modi speech and encouraging GDP data. IT and technology stocks witnessed a gain.
At 12.15 p.m., the Sensex was trading up 103.58 points or 0.38% at 27,122.97 with 13 components gaining. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading higher by 19.60 points or 0.24% at 8,102.65 with 23 components gaining.
Top gainers were Bharti Airtel (3.47%), TCS (2.73%), Wipro (2.38%) and Infosys (2.31%)
Major losers were GAIL (2.38%), Hero Motocorp (1.22%), ONGC (1.09%) and ITC (0.99%)
The IT index was at 10,349.08, up by 206.84 points or by 2.04%. The TECk index was at 5,786.15, up by 108.46 points or by 1.91%.
