Most Asian stock markets settled higher on Tuesday. Japan's benchmark index, Nikkei 225 went up 20.20 points or 0.46 percent to settle at 4,399.93. China's benchmark index, Shanghai Composite went up 192.00 points or 1.24 percent to close at 15,668.60.

Hong Kong's Hang Seng rose 30.54 points or 1.37 percent to end at 2,266.05. Singapore's Straits Times fell 3.07 points or 0.01 percent to end at 24,749.02. South Korea's KOSPI gained 14.17 points or 0.43 percent to end at 3,328.30. Taiwan's TAIEX lost 16.28 points or 0.79 percent to end at 2,051.58.
