SPML Infra announced that the company has bagged new orders worth Rs 12.32 billion from Uttar Pradesh Jal Nigam, Agra and Sardar Sarovar Narmada Nigam, Gandhinagar.

The two orders (5B and 5C) received from UP Jal Nigam worth Rs 10.02 billion are for augmenting drinking water supply for Agra city with laying of 128 kilometers of water pipeline.

The company has bagged another contract amounting Rs 2.30 billion from Sardar Sarovar Narmada Nigam, Gandhinagar is for infrastructure development for hydro generating units at Kutchh, Gujarat.

Rishabh Sethi, chief operating officer, SPML Infra, said, "Water management including transmission and distribution is our core competency and we have already laid more 4000 kilometers of cross country water pipelines of various size and length in all terrains. The latest order from UP Jal Nigam is a testimony of our expertise in strong and sustainable infrastructure development. Our experience of developing infrastructure for hydro power plants in Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka, Mizoram and Uttrakhand has helped us to receive the order of 3 hydro power plant constructions from Gujarat. These new orders from our esteemed clients will further boost our efforts in developing sustainable infrastructure that will help providing drinking water to a large population of Agra city and power from renewable sources in Gujarat."  
 
Shares of the company gained Rs 3, or 4.84%, to trade at Rs 65. The total volume of shares traded was 1,180 at the BSE (10.45 a.m., Tuesday).
