Eicher Motors shares went up on Tuesday after the company announced total motorcycle sales of 26,643 units in August 2014 as compared to 16,062 units in August 2013, representing a growth of 66%.
For the period January-August 2014, the company recorded total motorcycle sales of 192,356 units compared to 106,013 units in the corresponding period a year ago, representing a growth of 81%.
Shares of the company are trading at Rs 10,160, up Rs 82, or 0.81% at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Tuesday at 10:33 a.m.
The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs 10,248 and low of Rs 10,101.10. The total volume of shares traded at the BSE is 1,774.
