Hero MotoCorp (HMCL) shares gained on Tuesday after it reported a growth of 21% in sales for August 2014.

HMCL sold 5,58,609 units of two wheelers in August 2014 over the corresponding month in the previous year, when the company had sold 4,59,996 units.

Shares of the company are trading at Rs 2,801.05, up Rs 41.8, or 1.51% at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Tuesday at 9:51 a.m.

The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs 2,819 and low of Rs 2,770. The total volume of shares traded at the BSE is 13,550.
