Indian equities are at record high level in early trade on Tuesday. At 9.18 a.m., the Sensex was trading up 67.88 points or 0.25% at 26,935.43. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading higher by 11.65 points or 0.15% at 8,039.35.
The 30-share benchmark index, BSE Sensex opened flat with a rise of 20.66 points or 0.08% at 26,888.21.
Top gainers were Cipla (4.68%), Bharti Airtel (2.01%), Hero Motocorp (1.25%) and Sun Pharma (1.20%)
Major losers were Wipro (0.92%), Infosys (0.76%), Dr Reddy's Laboratories (0.74%) and Hindalco (0.74%)
The HC index was at 13,430.19, up by 49.93 points or by 0.37%. The Power index was at 2,102.06, up by 7.29 points or by 0.35%. The Bankex index was at 18,387.63, up by 61.15 points or by 0.33%.
On the other hand, the IT index was at 10,099.03, down by 24.68 points or by 0.24%.
