European stock markets settled lower on Thursday. Europe's leading Blue-chip index, EURO STOXX 50 fell 30.01 points or 0.95 percent to settle at 3,164.44.

While UK's benchmark index FTSE 100 fell 24.86 points or 0.37 percent to close at 6,805.80.

Germany's benchmark index DAX lost 107.15 points or 1.13 percent to end at 9,462.56.

Meanwhile, French benchmark index CAC 40 declined 29.22 points or 0.67 percent to end at 4,366.04.
