Commodity prices witnessed negative trend last week in India. MCX Comdex was down by 0.29% to 3,768.78 followed by MCX Metal was up by 0.12% to 4,793.54 and MCX Energy was down by 0.13% to 3,978.18.
Bullion contracts witnessed mixed trend. Gold October 14 contract was up by 0.12% to Rs 27,780 per 10 gram. Silver September 14 contract was down by 0.35% to Rs 41,933 per kg.
Metals contracts too showed mixed trend. Aluminium August 14 contract was up by 1.25% to Rs 125.80 per kg. Lead mini September 14 contract was up by 0.26% to Rs 136.60 per kg. Nickel September 14 contract was down by 0.62% to Rs 1138.20 per kg. Zinc October 14 contract was down by 0.90% to Rs 142.90 per kg. Copper August 14 contract was down by 0.46% to Rs 422.85 per kg.
Energy contracts also showed mixed trend. Natural gas September 14 contract was up by 0.79% to Rs 241.40 per MMBTU while Crude oil September 14 contract was down by 1.22% to Rs 5,675 per barrel.
Agri contracts showed down trend. Cotton October 14 contract was down by 0.27% to Rs 18,350 per bale, cardamom September 14 contract was down by 4.20% to Rs 948 per kg, menthaoil September 14 contract was down by 2.34% to Rs 694.20 per kg and CPO October 14 contract was down by 4.81% to Rs 429.10 per 10 kg.
