Indian equities continue to trade higher in post noon trade on Thursday. Realty, power and healthcare stocks witnessed a fall.
At 1.24 p.m., the Sensex was trading up 75.84 points or 0.29% at 26,635.99 with 17 components gaining. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading higher by 16.40 points or 0.21% at 7,952.45 with 28 components gaining.
Top gainers were GAIL (1.80%), ONGC (1.79%), Wipro (1.77%) and SSTL (1.19%).
Major losers were Tata Power (1.13%), Sun Pharma (1%), Axis Bank (1%) and SBI (0.88%).
The BSE Midcap index was at 9306.58 down by 20.01 points or by 0.21%.
The Realty index was at 1,739.92, down by 21.07 points or by 1.2%. The Power index was at 2,030.92, down by 9.04 points or by 0.44%. The HC index was at 13,355.01, down by 42.77 points or by 0.32%.
