Dewan Housing Finance Corporation (DHFL) announced that the board of directors of the company has appointed Vijaya Sampath as an additional director (non executive director) of the company.

 The stock had underperformed the market over the past one month till Aug. 26, 2014, rising 1.03% compared with the Sensex's 1.21% rise.

It outperformed the market in past one quarter, gaining 7.06% as against 6.98% rise in the Sensex.

Shares of the company declined Rs 2.65, or 0.77%, to trade at Rs 341.50. The total volume of shares traded was 21,613 at the BSE (1.43 p.m., Wednesday).
