State Bank Group crossed the milestone of 10,000 branches migrating to MPLS (Multi Protocol Label Switching) architecture within a record time of 7 months.
State Bank of India is migrating its telecom network of branches and offices to MPLS, and plans to achieve full migration of its point to point circuits to MPLS in this year itself. MPLS will simplify the Bank’s network architecture, improve connectivity performance and provide for bandwidth augmentation on demand.
Shares of the bank declined Rs 14.5, or 0.57%, to settle at Rs 2,509.10. The total volume of shares traded was 241,992 at the BSE (Monday).
