Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) were net buyers in the equity segment worth Rs 3.02 billion on both BSE, NSE and MCX-SX on August 22, as per provisional data available at the BSE. They bought equities worth Rs 33.51 billion and sold equities worth Rs 30.49 billion.

While domestic institutional investors, which include banks, DFIs, insurance and MFs, were net sellers in the equity segment worth Rs 1.84 billion. They bought equities worth Rs 14.16 billion and sold equities worth Rs 16 billion.
