Wipro said that administrative committee of the company's board of directors on Thursday to allot 58,777 equity shares of Rs 2 each pursuant to exercise of the stock options by the eligible employees under Restricted Stock Unit Plan 2004, Restricted Stock Unit Plan 2005 and Restricted Stock Unit Plan 2007.
The stock had outperformed the market over the past one month till Aug. 20, 2014, rising 2.92% compared with the Sensex's 2.62% rise. It underperformed the market in past one quarter, declining 19.65% as against 7.95% rise in the Sensex.
Shares of the company gained Rs 1.2, or 0.22%, to trade at Rs 552.50. The total volume of shares traded was 38,556 at the BSE (11.51 a.m., Thursday).
