Larsen & Toubro (L&T) shares went up on Thursday after the L&T Construction has won new orders worth Rs 18.32 billion from across various businesses in July and August 2014.
The building & factories business has bagged orders worth Rs 10.08 billion. In the power transmission and distribution business the company has bagged orders worth Rs 6.24 billion from the international market.
Additional orders worth Rs 2 billion have also been received from various ongoing jobs in the heavy civil infrastructure business.
Shares of the company are trading at Rs 1,529.40, up Rs 11.85, or 0.78% at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Thursday at 10:01 a.m.
The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs 1,530.90 and low of Rs 1,507.65. The total volume of shares traded at the BSE is 39,719.
