Venus Remedies, a research based pharmaceutical company, surged on Wednesday after the company secured approval for marketing of Gemcitabine from Swiss Agency for Therapeutic Products (Swissmedic).

Shares of the comapny are trading at Rs 264.25, up Rs 14.4, or 5.76% at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Wednesday at 1:55 p.m.

The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs 275 and low of Rs 250.75. The total volume of shares traded at the BSE is 70,186.
