Ashok Leyland announced that the company has completed the sale of the residual section of one of its residential properties at Chennai as part of its strategy to sell non-core assets.

With this transaction, the sale of the entire property stands completed, for a total consideration of Rs 2.10 billion, the proceeds of which has since been received by the company fully.

Shares of the company gained Rs 2.6, or 7.39%, to settle at Rs 37.80. The total volume of shares traded was 4,994,932 at the BSE (Tuesday).
