Gitanjali Gems announced a substantial rise in standalone net profit for the quarter ended June 2014. During the quarter, the profit of the company rose 34.19% to Rs 79.69 million from Rs 59.39 million in the same quarter last year.
Net sales for the quarter declined 41.65% to Rs 15,261.64 million, compared with Rs 26,153.40 million for the prior year period.
Earnings per share for the quarter stood at Rs 0.85, registering 32.81% growth over previous year period.
