Sun Pharmaceutical Industries shares gained on Wednesday after it reported consolidated net profit of Rs 13.91 billion for the quarter ended Jun. 30, 2014 as compared to net loss of Rs 12.76 billion in the same period last year.
Total consolidated income has increased by 12.36% to Rs 39.36 billion for the quarter ended Jun. 30, 2014 from Rs 35.03 billion in the year ago period.
Shares of the company are trading at Rs 794.15, up Rs 10.25, or 1.31% at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Wednesday at 9:43 a.m.
The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs 800.90 and low of Rs 776. The total volume of shares traded at the BSE is 83,219.
