Bharat Petroleum Corporation (BPCL) announced a sharp rise in standalone net profit for the quarter ended June 2014. During the quarter, the profit of the company rose 8.09 times to Rs 12,162.60 million from Rs 1,503.20 million in the same quarter last year.
Net sales for the quarter rose 13.71% to Rs 667,902.00 million, compared with Rs 587,364 million for the prior year period.
Earnings per share for the quarter stood at Rs 16.82, registering 8.09 times growth over previous year period.
