Steel Authority Of India (SAIL) disclosed a steady growth in standalone net profit for the quarter ended June 2014. During the quarter, the profit of the company rose 17.51% to Rs 5,298.80 million from Rs 4,509.10 million in the same quarter last year. Net sales for the quarter rose 9.94% to Rs 115,369.80 million, compared with Rs 104,941 million for the prior year period.
