Nestle India standalone quarterly profit climbs 6.07%

Nestle India disclosed a small rise in standalone net profit for the quarter ended March 2014. During the quarter, the profit of the company rose 6.07% to Rs 2,878.60 million from Rs 2,713.80 million in the same quarter last year. Net sales for the quarter rose 9.41% to Rs 24,319.70 million, compared with Rs 22,227 million for the prior year period. Earnings per share for the quarter stood at Rs 29.86, registering 6.11% growth over previous year period.
