Punj Lloyd shares plunged after the company swung to loss for the quarter ended June 2014. During the quarter, the company reported a loss of Rs 3,639.20 million compared with a profit of Rs 49.50 million in the same quarter last year.
Net sales for the quarter declined 50.03% to Rs 11,138.30 million, compared with Rs 22,289.20 million for the prior year period.
Shares of the company are trading at Rs 39.65, down Rs 2.05, or 4.92% at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Tuesday at 9:36 a.m.
The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs 39.65 and low of Rs 39.65. The total volume of shares traded at the BSE is 42,671.
