Rupee plunges 63 paise against dollar to settle at 61.19

Indian rupee has weakened on Friday against US dollar. Indian currency declined 63 paise or 1.04% against dollar to settle at 61.19.

Rupee has witnessed a high of 60.69 and a low of 61.19. Its 52-week range was 58.34-68.84.

The Dollar index, a measure of the value of the US dollar relative to a basket of foreign currencies, gained 0.05% to settle at 81.50.
