Sangam (India) said a sharp rise in standalone net profit for the quarter ended June 2014. During the quarter, the profit of the company rose 88.06% to Rs 113.40 million from Rs 60.30 million in the same quarter previous year.
Net sales for the quarter rose marginally 2.02% to Rs 3,750.30 million, compared with Rs 3,676 million for the prior year period.
Earnings per share for the quarter stood at Rs 2.88, registering 88.24% growth over previous year period.

Shares of the company declined Rs 2.85, or 3.58%, to trade at Rs 76.70. The total volume of shares traded was 6,742 at the BSE (12.52 p.m., Friday).
