Bodal Chemicals said a sharp rise in standalone net profit for the quarter ended June 2014. During the quarter, the profit of the company rose 27.95 times to Rs 520.06 million from Rs 18.61 million in the same quarter previous year.
Net sales for the quarter for the quarter rose 2.15 times to Rs 3,852.76 million, compared with Rs 1,788.68 million for the prior year period.
Earnings per share for the quarter stood at Rs 4.77, registering 28.06 times growth over previous year period.

Shares of the company gained Rs 2.55, or 4.36%, to settle at Rs 61.00. The total volume of shares traded was 249,905 at the BSE (Wednesday).
