Indian equities are trading slightly lower on Monday. Realty, metal and oil & gas stocks witnessed a fall whereas auto stocks gain

At 10.25 a.m., the Sensex was trading down 39.62 points or 0.15% at 26,087.13 with 17 components falling. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading lower by 3.30 points or 0.04% at 7,787.15 with 30 components falling.

Major losers were Coal India (2.27%), HDFC (1.35%), TCS (1.04%), and RIL (0.96%).

Top gainers were Axis Bank (1.97%), Tata Motors (0.80%), M&M (0.75%), and BHEL (0.73%).

The BSE Mid and small caps outperformed their larger counterparts gaining 0.16% and 0.01% respectively.

The Realty index was at 1,905.27, down by 19.73 points or by 1.02%. The Metal index was at 13,146.45, down by 53.65 points or by 0.41%. The Oil & Gas index was at 10,802.86, down by 41.11 points or by 0.38%.

On the other hand, the Auto index was at 15,723.39, up by 113.83 points or by 0.73%.
